Chris is the founder of Fable Forge and serves as its Dungeon Master. He has years of experience as a teacher, NHS pastoral practitioner, and charity governor, but his earliest dream that he can remember was to become a writer of fantasy fiction.
However, it wasn't until the COVID lockdown in 2019 that he first experimented with Dungeons and Dragons online with friends. Although he didn't know what he was doing and the game fizzled out, the spark for creative storytelling stayed. After more research, tinkering, and developing a slight obsession with Critical Role, he DMed his first in-person session on his birthday, which led to two in-person campaigns alongside his old school and university friends, which continue to this day.

One day, as his dice collection continued to expand, Chris was telling folks at work about Dungeons and Dragons (as he does far too often) when a colleague mentioned that their kids used to play and were looking for a new DM. Chris said he wouldn't mind giving it a go.
A few online sessions later, a ridiculously heroic story was unfolding through their creative storytelling, and soon their siblings and friends wanted to join the epic adventures. The spark had ignited the embers of the Fable Forge.
Drawing on his extensive experience in teaching, lecturing, storytelling, and pastoral care, Chris is developing the Fable Forge to host an exciting new network of Dungeons and Dragons games, campaigns, and training sessions for the next generation of adventurers and Dungeon Masters. His vision includes a dedicated in-person space that brings D&D to life through a truly immersive experience filled with music, sound effects, visuals, lighting, props, and plenty of ridiculous voices.
